The green area in the centre of the above map is under a very severe threat from the developers : "Blue Living" They have purchased the land, and have plans to build up to 1,000 new houses on it. This is will ruin the natural beauty and peace for ever. It is our duty to see to it that planning permission is NOT granted ! We must preserve this beautiful pristine unspoiled landscape, with it's diverse wildlife and magnificent panoramic views for future generations to enjoy. *Kylie has set up a "Facebook group" the search term for it is - "Pincents Hill Development Opposition" - many thanks Kylie - How do I join face book to air my opinion ? it's easy click the link below and join in, we welcome you, please express your feelings. It has been reported that the following wildlife species do live in this area. I have personally seen many myself, mainly badgers, they come down from the afore mentioned fields into the Calcot rec' about an hour after sundown, mainly in pairs, sometimes in threes and the odd loner. Our very latest visitor is the magnificent Red Tailed Kite, gliding over this threatened land. I have lived here since 1955 and I can quite confidently tell you this is an oasis of rare protected flora and fauna, that will be lost for ever if the developers get their way. Their huge financial short term gain, will be our long lasting irretrievable life long loss. Not only for you, but for your children. * Please write your protest letter to the address below. Be sure to stress the importance of 'The Settlement Gap' being maintained. This is how Pincents Hill has been historicly described and is our core argument. Demand that 'The Settlement Gap' status continues ! * The Chief Planning Officer, West Berks Borough Council,Market Street,Newbury,Berks. We must preserve this natural wild habitat, complete with it's unique wildlife or it will be lost forever. We can win this, if we don't give up, lets all do our best to save it !
